Szeky Palace Cluj-Napoca

Szeky Palace is located in the North-Western corner of Mihai Viteazul (Michael the Brave) Square and it was built in 1893. The building is one of the modern architecture monuments from Cluj made by the architect Samu Pecz in neo-Gothic style. The palace was the residence of Miklos Szeky, a pharmacist from Cluj and university professor who makes the decision to build this palace, at the ground floor of which he opens a pharmacy.

The ground floor and basement of the palace are covered with limestone plates and the floors with bricks. There is a rich decoration on the main entrance gate, rhombus and rosette-shaped panels, neo-Gothic motives, acorns and oak branches and the monogram of SzM owner, bordered by oak leaves.
