Brădeşti is a village situated at 5 km from Odorheiu Secuiesc, at the confluence of the Târnava Mare river and the Brădeşti stream. One part of the village is located along the road connecting Odorheiu Secuiesc to Miercurea Ciuc, and the other along the road leading to Gheorgheni, in the valley of the Târnava Mare.

The first mention of the village dates back to 1532. According to the historical documents the village was not situated in the valley, but on the Csere Hill and the valley was a marshy area. 

The village developed under the influence of the nearby town, Odorheiu Secuiesc and the main occupation of the inhabitants became agriculture, especially truck farming.
